Long- and short-tail keywords for multilingual virtual assistants
A keyword is a word or group of words that a person enters into a search engine or a social media to find any information regarding those words. Keywords are divided into “short-tail” and “long-tail”: short-tail keywords, also known as “head terms”, are made of 1 or 2 words whereas long-tail keywords contain at least three words. Otherwise said, short-tail keywords are generic terms whilst long-tail keywords are more specific search terms for which users show a lower, but more active and targeted, search interest.
Here are three online resources where to find relevant and effective short- and long-tail keywords.
GOOGLE TRENDS provides trending search data (by location and language) and information on how often a particular word or phrase is searched on the web. Besides, the user can explore the hottest queries and search charts by category for the most searched people, places and things. The user can also refine and compare his search queries.
